› Details and tips
60 € of detailing and 30 minutes for 25 good daylight photos — the car sold in a week at the top of its valuation. The first photo decides the click.
Pack the folder: service book, repair invoices, TUEV reports. A buyer leafing through documents negotiates twice as softly — proven.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What must the listing contain? ▾
Honesty: mileage, accidents, known defects. A concealed known defect means liability for deceit despite any warranty exclusion — courts side with the buyer.
Sell privately or to an instant-buy service? ▾
Instant buyers pay 10–20 percent under market for the speed. Private sale takes longer but earns more; fresh TUEV and full service history add hundreds of euros.
Sell with a fresh inspection or as is? ▾
A fresh HU usually adds more to the price than it costs: buyers pay for predictability. Without it: minus 10–20 percent and a haggling crowd.
Can I sell a car with a running loan or lease? ▾
With a loan you need registration part II — if the bank holds it as security, first pay off the balance (often from the sale price). A leased car is not yours: only return it or buy it out, then sell.
