The file and the question put: where the outcome is decided
The authority itself defines which questions the assessment must answer. That wording frames the entire examination, and refusing it allows the regulation’s conclusion of unfitness.

§ 11 (6) FeV; the law fixes no amount — comparing providers’ prices is worth it
Between the order and the assessment lies a stage that is often skipped, and wrongly so: this is where the frame of the examination can still be influenced. The authority formulates the questions, the assessment centre answers them, and the regulation describes the consequences of refusal in unmistakable terms.
The order is best read alongside someone who reads such documents regularly, especially where the question put is very broad or the ground is unclear. An initial assessment in traffic law comes from advocado↗.
Access to the file is the most underrated step. People prepare from general advice online without knowing what their own file contains. Yet the conversation revolves around exactly those documents.

I thought that simply not attending would leave things as they were and time would sort it out. The regulation says the opposite: failing to produce the assessment permits a finding of unfitness. Silence was the worst option available.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the question put, and why does it weigh so much?▾
The regulation states expressly that the authority, taking account of the circumstances of the case, sets out in the order which questions about fitness are to be clarified. The assessment centre answers exactly those questions. The wording therefore determines the content of the entire examination.
Why request access to the file?▾
The file holds the documents the authority’s doubts rest on: records, test results, earlier decisions. While they remain unseen you prepare blind, yet the appointment turns on precisely those documents.
What happens if I simply do not attend?▾
The regulation says it directly: if the person refuses to be examined or fails to produce the required assessment in time, the authority may conclude that they are unfit. The condition is that the order pointed out this consequence.
Can the order itself be challenged?▾
The legal structure here is not obvious, and the route depends on the type of decision and the circumstances. That is why an order with unclear or very broad wording belongs read by a specialist before an appointment is fixed.
Who pays for the MPU?▾
You do. § 11 (6) FeV says so expressly: within the period set, you must undergo the assessment AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE and submit the report. No statutory amount exists, and the assessment is carried out on the basis of an order placed by you — so you choose the centre yourself and can compare prices before booking an appointment.
