Is switching to a small provider risky? ▾
Your power never goes off: if a provider collapses you fall back into default supply automatically. The risk is only a lost bonus and a couple of pricier months — not a physical cutoff.
What is the default supply and why am I in it? ▾
Moved in and used power without a contract — automatically with the local default supplier on its most expensive tariff. Legal and handy as a start, expensive as a habit: 100–300 € a year difference.
What does the tariff price guarantee cover? ▾
Usually only the procurement part, not taxes and grid fees — and often just 12 months. Check a limited versus a full price guarantee, and that it covers at least the contract term.
